Priceless moment of the day
Seeing as it’s 6am, you might ask how I can already have a priceless moment to write about. You’d be up early too to notice it’s 6am (since I don’t bother publishing the exact timestamp). But I thought I’d throw that in. It illustrates how life can change so much from a simple thing like getting puppies. (A morning girl I am not.) If this all makes no sense we can blame it on the collision of my brain with the time of day.
This is yesterday’s priceless moment.
Our puppy Jack is sometimes so hyper and apparently fearless, but as you watch you’ll notice he’s the scared-of-his-own-shadow type. Show him some inert object he’s never seen before, and you might well get that stepping-backwards-quickly reaction that makes you think that a stainless bowl was somehow threatening.
Yesterday morning at the beach there was lots of seafoam. At first the pups sniffed and licked some of it. But then, there was a little ‘island’ of it that was moving in and out on a shallow little wave. First Jack did the step-backwards-what-the-hell-is-that move. But the foam retreated. Hmm, try the downward-dog-c’mon-and-play-with-me move. Shoot, it’s coming back! OK, back to the cautious approach… This went on for a bit and we were busting our guts laughing. I so wish we had it on video.
I wonder what this morning’s adventure will bring.
