Quest Outreach current wishlist
I’ve written about Quest before; they’re a fabulous Vancouver organization that diverts surplus or near-expiry food from becoming waste so it can feed people in need. Last year they helped about 60,000 people per month and prevented about 3300 tonnes of viable food from ending up in local landfills. Wow!
Their winter newsletter has the following items on their wishlist. Maybe you have one of them needing a new home? Please contact Quest if you can help them out in any way.
For the Kitchen:
- commercial veggie peeler
- commercial electric can opener
- quality knives
- commercial sized pots
- wheeled carts
For the Store:
- glass cooler
- glass freezer
- shelving
- shelving cart
For the Warehouse
- power washer
- pallet jack
- shelving
- floor scale
- forklift
- dollies (as my husband would call them, handtrucks)
For the office
- canister vacuum
- small photocopier
